ZIG ZAG CHAIR

I was thinking about an object formed by slices. So, looking on web for some images that could impress me, I found this one.

I thought the sitting could be a little bit uncomfortable so I wondered how I should make this chair more comfortable using parameter, and here are some of my reasoning.

I’ve gone on revit and I opened a Metric Generic Model

I drawn the profile of my zig zag chair, using the extrusion command, and I assigned the reference plane and the aligned annotation where useful for my project.

I created the parameters.

I assigned them to the annotation.

I decided how much thick my slice had to be (50 mm), assigning it another parameter.

The last parameter I had assigned was the material one, I set a default material.

And this was the final result just before importing the family into the project.

I created a new project file, and I imported the family creating a series of three seats.

Now, modifying the parameter previously assigned, I create some more comfortable (I hope) chairs…

The final results setting the camera and the material (orange plastic).
