In the second post we started to do some considerations about the area of the project, having a look at the impact of the neighboring buildings on the area of the project. As we have seen, the situation in Via del Porto Fluviale, in the area of Ostiense, is particularity critical especially in summer period, since the project's area is at the end of the block and it's not surrounded by high buildings, except for the one in front of Via del Porto Fluviale. So the impact of the other buildings is irrelevant and the lack of vegetation doesn't contribute to the comfort.

Il complesso edilizio, la cui superficie costruita complessiva ammonta a circa 7100 mq, si colloca su un’area  quasi completamente piana, compresa tra via del Porto Fluviale e via dei Magazzini Generali nel quartiere Ostiense, decimo quartiere di Roma. L’area è attualmente occupata da un manufatto industriale destinato originariamente a magazzino e da altri fabbricati in parte trasformati nel corso degli ultimi anni.

eThis time, we've developed the project's volumes and we've analyzed the shading and the solar radiation of the different facades during summer and winter.

The area which we've to study is located between Via del Porto Fluviale and Via del Commercio. 

La nostra idea progettuale si sviluppa in un lotto di progetto situato ad Ostiense in prossimità del Gasometro, all’angolo tra Via del Porto Fluviale e Via del Commercio.
Il complesso residenziale ha una forma a “C”, appositamente voluta, con il fine ultimo di effettuare una ricucitura urbana del tessuto edilizio esistente.

Our Project is located between Via Del Porto Fluviale and Via del Commercio, in Rome. It is located close to the city center that is the Municipio I, while this area is Municipio VIII. 

Furthermore the area is full of ex industrial buildings, so we have focused on mantining the real character of the area, however these are buildings homes.
